“Completely seamless switch to an energy …
Completely seamless switch to an energy provider that offers 100% renewable electricity at lower prices than my previous supplier – win/win!” Happy Customer London SW4 via Trustpilot
“I am very pleased with Solarplicity
I am very pleased with Solarplicity. Low price, good customer service.” Irene via Trustpilot
“Excellent Service.
Excellent Service. Been with this company 12 months with no issues. My deal has come to an end and they have rewarded me to stay with them at very competitive kW rates and discounts. Andre was very helpful and friendly and I will now benefit from a Smart meter being installed soon. Considering it was lunchtime (peak) the call was picked up within 2 minutes and Andre was apologetic for me having to hold. Thank you Solarplicity – you have it right!” Lisa Galley via Trustpilot.
Efficient and helpful “I can’t comment on bills yet, as I’ve only just switched, but I can confirm that the switch was hassle-free, delivered on the date they said (approx 2-3 weeks) and the telephone service has been efficient and helpful – so I definitely recommend Solarplicity thus far. I would’ve switched to renewables anyway (well, as long as they weren’t significantly more expensive than mainstream suppliers, as I live on my own) so I’m delighted to be talking with my wallet. I expect my bills to be cheaper or the same as regular suppliers, so if you’re in the same position as me, there’s no reason not to switch to renewables. Do it!” Emmahen via Money Saving Expert.
Solarplicity Review
“Switch last month, no problems what so ever, no problems communicating with them, very pleased with the company.” Saltburn64 via Money Saving Expert.
Negative
Below are 5 Solarplicity complaints from recent customers.
“Stay well clear of this company
I have been trying to get electricity readings updated for the past 4 months, tried phone and emails, yes they have answered some of my emails but all I get is excuses sorry couldn’t recommend this company” Ian Mcintyre via Trustpilot.
“Poor customer service – disappointed and angry
Waiting for customer service to answer always takes 30min+ and all the employees are inconsistent with their answers and have poor communication skills. It comes across that they aim to identify your problem asap and confirm that they’ve ‘fixed it’ without actually listening to your complaint or issues and I have had different answers for the same questions on multiple occasions when i’ve tried to sort out going on a fixed contract. I would also like to add that it is unacceptable that customer service takes 5+weeks to answer an email about an ongoing issue that you have raised, especially if you have to stay on hold for 30-40min to access customer service by phone to address the issue of not getting a reply about an official request that you’ve made, being told that you will be contacted in the next week and then never hearing from them again, apart from an apology when you ring up again to complain” Karolina Sadauskaite via Trustpilot.
“Avoid This Company!
Very poor customer service despite spending 2mth trying to get them to return a phone call or an email about the discrepancies in my payment and usage. My direct debit payment falls a long way short of my projected usage even though I provided them with accurate meter readings from the outset. Avoid this company at all costs.” Emma via Truspilot.“Poor Customer Service
I have found it very difficult to get my surplus credit refunded from Solarplicity. I noticed that the credit on my account was increasing each month, even through the winter until it was almost £200. I requested that my direct debit be lowered, and to be refunded the excess amount. The direct debit was changed immediately, but geting the money back has been a much more of a problem. After numerous phonecalls, and waiting periods, I have just lodged an official complaint and am waiting on a response. Still no sign of any money in spite of me having been assured of it’s processing several times. Has anyone else experienced difficulties like this?” Lainey777 via Money Saving Expert.Contact Issues “I joined Solarplicity a year ago, and apart from a rocky start transferring my supply, everything has been ok. But as my tariff is coming to an end, I’ve been trying to contact them. I’ve waited on hold for hours for the past three days, with no one picking up. I’ve emailed twice, with no reply. Are they still in business? It is scary when your energy supplier doesn’t seem to be at home” Alistair Brown via Money Saving Expert.
