The below variable business rates reflect the 2018 rates that businesses were placed on when their fixed term contract ended and no termination notice had been provided and no renewal agreements had been made.
The variable business electricity rate charged to businesses in 2018 for a non half hourly quarterly and monthly billed business: an all day rate of 15.84 p/kWh and a standing charge of 42.42 per day.
SSE Business Gas Tariffs
The above listed tariffs are suitable for both electricity and gas business customers.
Out of contract rates:
The variable business gas rates (tariff a business is put on after their contract ends but they have not terminated or made renewal agreements) charged to businesses in 2018 for all quarterly and monthly customers in EUC bands 1 or 2- were: all day unit rate of 2.25 p/kWh and a standing charge of 52p per day.
All customers in EUC band 3 were charged an all day unit rate of 2.99 p/kWh and a standing charge of 840p per day.

SSE is one of the big 6 energy companies in the UK, the SSE plc includes SSE Enterprise Energy and SSE Business Energy. The company also has several brand names that operate across the UK for example SSE Southern Electric in the South of England and SSE Airtricity in Northern Ireland.
